“Friends are the companions on the journey, who ought to aid each other to persevere in the road to a happier life.” And where we meet those friends, real friends, is the place called college. End of the college is the end of a beautiful era of your life. One really goes through hard times at the end of college life. You can’t describe how you are feeling, but you know that college will be missed. Friends will be missed.
.Suddenly, when you see some place where you’d spent too much time as a fresher and a thought strikes your mind that how much these crazy 4 years have changed you. You are out as a completely different person. Remembering that insecure and awkward version of yourself, you just laugh to yourself.
.Walking around the campus, stopping at some places to say “Hi” to some people and then there comes a point when you think “omg! There are only few such interactions left”
.Everybody curse their college everyday, but the farewell time makes them realise that it will definitely be missed in the upcoming years.
.Ha! Finally the education is over, No exams, no late night studies, no classes, nothing. But then you think “ Are you serious? I mean it can’t be too fast”. You just get the feeling of going to war of life.
.Everything goes on a slow motion, really slow. Friends hugging you, you are enjoying the last day as well as there are tears in your eyes. You don’t completely know how to react, what to say, there is an awkward silence.
.“Its time to grow up” you are tired of hearing this from your childhood, but now this really means. Now there will be you and your life. However, there are your good friends always with you for help, still you are worried how you will now solve your problems, now deadlines will absolutely mean deadlines. You have no other option than thinking.
.Some seniors or teachers giving advice about the life outside college. You don’t want to believe all this, but definitely you have to.
.All your moments of fun, happiness, sadness and everything are just roaming around in your mind and there is a sudden realisation it will never happen again. All of you, especially hostellers think you are leaving your second home.
.Now you will be working with colleagues, but not friends. No, this can’t happen. Please stop all this. You think that I will never say bad about anything in this campus, but please stop this time here only. This thought lingering in your mind and you are burning inside.
.You are happy about what you learned in these college days will help you in your life waiting ahead. The art of self control you developed by dealing with all sorts of people, may it be hyper, angry, chirpy or emotional will help you and you know that. Adjusting, Enjoying, thinking everything will be helping you in the long run.
.“Bhai 4 saal ka toh pata hi nahi chala”, you will be addicted to this line and attached as well. Really, this time passed too fast and now you are realising you must have done many more things you wanted to do, you wanted to say, you wanted to ask.
.You are just collecting your memories from first year to final year, the makeover of yours, your friend’s and everyone you know. Capturing all the memories in your storage, in your mobile’s storage.
.And then you realise, its an end, all the fights must be over now. You should talk now with your so called enemy.
.Your brain is playing an automatic playlist- “Yeh dosti hum nahi todenge”, “ yaad aayenge ye pal”, “Yaaron dosti bdi hi hasin h”, “ Acha chlta hun duaon me yaad rkhna” and so on.
.Deep inside your heart, you are thinking that how will you deal with the cruel world waiting for you. The fear of getting judged, whether you will achieve you want to achieve or not. All this is creating a chaos in your mind. Uff! Too much tension. Really grown up.
.A flood of feelings in such a way that you don’t know whether to be sad or to be happy. You don’t know what to think? Am I only thinking this?
.The emotions will really be flowing out if you are celebrating your scribbling day. The special and lovely things and advices written on your shirt will make you cry for sure.
.Hating the fact that it’s all over and that too fast while thinking that you have the bestest of friends and you’ve created too many stories & memories to tell everyone and think of them in alone to be happy with all this.
You don’t want this to be over knowing that this is over. You will miss college. You will miss friends. In fact you’re already missing them. Finally, you say good bye to the college with these feelings and flashback of four years, and the hope that only college is over but not friendship. We will always be in touch.
